The
whole idea of these series of paintings, sculptures, lamps, amongst other
things, began on those Mexican grocery bags that have always appeared to be
quite interesting to me. I can't tell the inumerable times in which I have
seen them pass by, wanting to be more than just that.
And so, I have borrowed this fabric not just to paint in it, but to make use
of it as a tool, as the
proper background to portray all those influences which find their roots in
my hometown, and how we react to the diferent and unatainable objects that
come from different countries such as the U.S, France, England, ...
